Caring for Your Artimelle Jewelry

Fine jewelry is made to be worn and enjoyed. A little regular care helps protect its setting, finish and stones.

    Everyday wear

Remove your jewelry before swimming, household cleaning, exercise, heavy lifting or activities that may expose it to impact, pressure, chemicals or abrasion.

Put it on after applying perfume, lotions and cosmetics.

Avoid bleach, chlorine, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals.

    Cleaning diamond and gold jewelry

For diamond-and-gold pieces without delicate gemstones or special finishes, use lukewarm water, a little mild dish soap and a very soft brush. Clean gently, rinse carefully and dry with a soft lint-free cloth. Use a bowl away from an open drain.

Do not use abrasive powders, toothpaste, home ultrasonic cleaners or steam cleaners. Do not scrub loose stones or attempt to tighten a setting yourself. We can advise on a suitable cleaning method and arrange professional care.

    Lab grown gemstone care

Different lab-grown gemstones may require different care depending on the material, treatment and setting. Avoid home ultrasonic and steam cleaners, sudden temperature changes and harsh chemicals.

    Storage and fastenings

Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined compartment so stones and metal do not rub against one another. Close necklaces before storing them and keep chains untangled. Avoid bending or forcing a bracelet or necklace.
